Keeping good records along the way lets you answer calmly and get back to what matters most, which is caring for the parent you love.
A note from me
I'm a high school teacher, and what we have in common is that you are in a position to take care of your parent's finances, just as I was in the position to take care of mine. When you're doing the right thing and doing what's best for your loved ones, the last thing you want or need is someone questioning every expense. I've been there, and that's why I created The Proof Book. Not only is it for your parent's peace of mind, it's my hope that it helps you sleep a little better too.

How we work
The Proof Book was made by a high school teacher to give families one simple place to write a parent's money down. We are not lawyers, so we will not tell you what your power of attorney requires or what to do about a gift, a transfer, or Medicaid.
The record itself is practical: a date, who was paid, the amount, the reason, and where the receipt is. That is enough to show their money was handled with care.
Where the decisions belong
We show you how to write down what already happened, clearly enough that a bank, a court, or your family can follow it. Decisions belong with a qualified elder-law attorney, and tax questions with a CPA.
Who we are
The Proof Book is a trade name of The Chalk and Ledger Group LLC, an Ohio company. We keep the focus on your family rather than on us, so you won't find a founder photo or borrowed testimonials here, only tools we can stand behind.
When you want a small start, the free Family Update Kit takes about ten minutes, and when you want the fuller file, the POA Ledger is $29 for the first 100 families, then $47. The complete set is $59 for the first 100 families, and every paid file is a one-time purchase. If a file does not work or is not what was described, email us within 30 days and we will fix it or refund it.
